The Barquisimeto Crepusculares could not turn a fine performance from left fielder Inocente Chávez into a win. Instead, the Barinas Viajeros prevailed, 6-5. Chávez was 3-5 with a triple and a double, while scoring 3 runs. Barinas is now 59-65, Barquisimeto 56-67.

In the bottom of the fifth inning, the Viajeros grabbed the lead when Eneas Reyes rapped a two-out single. Barinas was trailing 4-3, when Reyes hit a 2-run single off Mateus Balieiro to put his team in front, 5-4.

Reyes said afterward that "winning is the goal."
