The skies opened up and the rain fell at Barquisimeto Stadium.

Barquisimeto pitcher Ángel Novoa did his part in helping his team defeat the Maracay Jardineros, 6-2. The opposition could never get too much going against the right-hander. The winner was Novoa. He threw 6.0 innings allowing 2 runs. The loser was Carlomaria Coscia.

Nikita de Hoog broke a 2-2 tie in the bottom of the fourth with a run-scoring ground out. It put the Crepusculares in front, 3-2. For the game, de Hoog went 1 for 4 with a double. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.

Despite the victory, de Hoog was prickly with assembled media after the game. He said only that he was "happy with the win."

Barquisimeto is now 65-60. Maracay is 62-64.
