Crepusculares Stay Hot With 9-5 Win
The Barquisimeto Crepusculares overcame a pretty good performance by Maracaibo third baseman Lienhart Schaecter, beating the Independientes, 9-5, at Estadio de Maracaibo. Schaecter went 4 for 5 with a double and 3 singles. The Crepusculares now own a record of 63-67.

Barquisimeto relied on the hitting of Inocente Chávez to pick up the win. The left fielder ripped a 2-run triple in the top of the fourth inning to put the Crepusculares on top, 5-3. For the game, Chávez had 1 triple and 1 single in 6 at-bats.

"Winning never gets old," said Crepusculares manager Jim Corkum.
