Industriales Absorb 5-4 Home Loss
|
The Coro Bizantinos did just enough to sneak past the Valencia Industriales, 5-4, at Campo de Valencia. Coro pitcher Ferdinando Osuna, in particular, had a standout performance. Osuna yielded 4 runs over 9 innings to notch the win. He scattered 7 hits, walked 2, and struck out 2. His record improves to 17-9. Valencia is still trying to get off the schneid, having lost 6 in a row.
Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Martín García? The Coro left fielder had a bases-clearing double in the top of the fifth inning to put the Bizantinos on top, 5-3. For the game, García had 1 double and 1 single in 3 at-bats.
Afterward, Valencia manager Nick Hukill said: "Every team has a bad week."
