Though the conditions were not ideal, the Angostura Amargados and Cumana Atunes came back from a rain delay to finish their game.

Angostura Amargados starter Medardo Crosby hurled his team past the Cumana Atunes, 8-2. The winning pitcher was Crosby, now 15-12. He tossed 5.2 innings of 3-hit ball, while walking 0 and fanning 5.

Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Bonifazio Caccio? The Angostura right fielder had a run-scoring double in the top of the fifth inning to put the Amargados on top, 2-0. For the game, Caccio had 1 double and 1 single in 5 at-bats.

"We'll need a much better effort, the next time out," said losing manager Marcos Ramírez.

With the win over Cumana, the Amargados improved to 70-53.
