Though the conditions were not ideal, the Barinas Viajeros and Maracaibo Independientes came back from a rain delay to finish their game.

The Barinas Viajeros knocked off the Maracaibo Independientes, 10-4, at Campo de Barinas. Abdías González hit 1 single and 2 doubles, while driving in 3 runs. The Viajeros move to 56-74 with the win, while the Independientes drop to 65-66.

Pedro Álvarez had a key at-bat with one out in the bottom of the second for Barinas. With the bases loaded and the Viajeros leading 2-1, he drew a walk, driving in 1 run.

Barinas manager Brett Normand was pleased with the team's effort. "Our guys went out there and put good wood on the ball," he said.
