Tinajones Deal Manzanillo 4-2 Defeat
|
Camaguey pitcher Marcelo Yáñez did his part in helping his team beat the Manzanillo Martenos, 4-2. The right-hander kept opposing batters from doing too much damage. The win puts Camaguey at 64-62 this season.
The Tinajones got a big at-bat from center fielder Anaxímenes Vásquez. For the game, Vásquez was 1-5 with a double. In the top of the first, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 6th double of the season gave Camaguey a 1-0 lead.
"It doesn't matter if you're 10 games over .500 or 10 games under, it feels good to win," Vásquez told the Camaguey Chronicle.
