Almost There: Odessa On Cusp of PCS Triumph After 9-6 Win
Riding the 3-hit performance of right fielder Marcos Torres, the Odessa Cowhands got a road win against the San Marcos Cadavers, 9-6, in Game 4 of the Pennant Championship Series. Torres was 3 for 5 with a double and 2 singles, while scoring 3 and driving in 2 for the Cowhands, who now lead the best-of-7 series, 3 games to 1.

Alfredo Fuentes hit a run-scoring double off Javier Cortez in the top of the second, which put the Cowhands in front, 1-0. In addition to the double, Fuentes had 2 singles, while going 3 for 5.

"The boys were really swinging the bats today," winning manager James Roseman said.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Cadavers Park in San Marcos.
