Road Win Lifts Bolzano to 1-0 Lead in HLBF
The Bolzano Dolomiti started the Halbfinalen in style, winning on the road against the Stuttgart Vergaser at Vergaser-Stadion by a score of 6-3 to take an early 1-0 lead in the best-of-5 series. Dolomiti right-hander Vittorio Gambachini threw 9.0 innings of 4-hit ball.

Gambachini pitched a complete game for Bolzano. The 20-year-old right-hander was charged with 3 runs on 4 hits. He struck out 6 during his 129-pitch performance.

"Vittorio set the tone with his ability to attack the hitters," said Bolzano manager Roberto Baldera.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Vergaser-Stadion in Stuttgart.
