Halifax Breaks Through for First Win in Pennant Championship Series; Now Trails 2-1
The Halifax Batteries topped the Lachute Supercalandres, 6-2, in Game 3 of the Pennant Championship Series. Most impressive was right-hander Gabriel Gutiérrez, who threw 9.0 innings of 8-hit ball. The win cuts Halifax's deficit in the series to 2-1.

With two out in the bottom of the seventh, Jairo Costa had a game-changing hit. The Batteries third baseman slammed a 2-run single off Anatolio Aguillón, making the score 5-2, Halifax.

Gutiérrez called the win "a team effort."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Batteries Field in Halifax.
