Halifax Win to Pull Even With Lachute
The Halifax Batteries and the Lachute Supercalandres will take the Pennant Championship Series to a decisive 5th game. In a must-win situation, the Batteries beat the Supercalandres, 5-3, at Batteries Field to force the series into what will essentially be a one-game playoff. Halifax right fielder Timoteo García went 4 for 5 with a double and 3 singles. He scored 3 runs.

Halifax took control in the bottom of the seventh. With one out and a runner on 3rd, Enrique Costello hit a run-scoring single to make it 4-3, Batteries.

"They say the first rule of the playoffs is to win the home games," Costello said afterward. "It feels nice, but it is kind of what we were supposed to do."

Game 5 is scheduled for Friday at Supercalenders Park in Lachute.
