Western & Plains Championship Game 1 Victory for Rosado and Winnipeg
The Winnipeg Strikers powered past the visiting Calgary Chargers, 3-1, in the opener of the Western & Plains Championship at Winnipeg Grounds. Winnipeg starting pitcher Roberto Rosado threw 9.0 innings allowing 1 run, to lead the charge. The Strikers now lead the series 1-0.

Rosado, who was born in Caguas, Puerto Rico, threw 109 pitches over 9 innings, while allowing 1 run.

"If I go out there and help the team win, that's all you can do," said Rosado.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Winnipeg Grounds in Winnipeg.
