Mentor Tops Norwalk Again, 3-0
|
The Mentor Rose Stockings got an exceptional performance from starter Bill Donovan, who silenced the Norwalk offense en route to a 3-0 shutout win in Game 2 of the Interleague Series. The Maples could never get a bead on the right-handed Donovan, who threw 9.0 innings of shutout ball. The Rose Stockings now hold a 2-0 advantage in the best-of-5 series.
Mentor starter Bill Donovan was a master of his craft. The right-hander allowed no runs on 3 hits over 9 innings.
Said losing manager Dagoberto Jaso: "We've got to find a way to push a run across."
The next game is set to be played tomorrow at The Rosebush in Mentor.
