The Monterrey Cerveceros got an exceptional performance from starter Crisóstomo López, who silenced the Guanajuato offense en route to a 3-0 shutout win in Game 2 of the Campeonato de las Ligas. The Libertadores could never get a bead on the right-handed López, who threw 8.0 innings of shutout ball. The Cerveceros now hold a 2-0 advantage in the best-of-7 series.

López allowed no runs over 8 innings. He also racked up 6 strikeouts.

"Crisóstomo was throwing free and easy," said Monterrey manager Ricardo López.

The next game is set to be played for Wednesday, November 11th , 1908 at Parque de la Libertad in Guanajuato.
