Artists Get Hard-Earned Win
The Taos Artists had to overcome a fine effort from Santa Fe pitcher Cedric Gray to win, 5-4, at Santa Fe Stadium. Gray went 8.2 innings and allowed 4 runs. Taos, now 8-4, has gotten their season off to a good start.

Taos used a clutch hit from Robbie Knights to get the win. The shortstop drilled a 3-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Artists ahead, 5-4. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a doozy.

"We had the game right there for the taking," said Santa Fe manager Héctor García. "But we decided not to take it."
