The New York Giants coasted to a win over the Pittsburgh Pirates, 10-1. Nate Curry had a good day at the plate for New York. He was 2 for 3 with a double and 2 walks, while adding 5 RBI and scoring once. The Giants now have a record of 11-23.

The Giants got a big hit from shortstop Rob Costello. Facing Pittsburgh pitcher Matt Gilley in the bottom of the fifth, Costello pounded a bases-clearing double to left. His 6th double of the season put the Giants ahead, 5-1.
