Louisville Beats Cleveland in 11-Inning Thriller
The Louisville Colonels took on the Cleveland Spiders at League Park I.

The Louisville Colonels beat the Cleveland Spiders, 5-4, in 11 innings. Louisville pitcher and Highland Park, Illinois, native Adam Briggs led the way. Brad Drain, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 14th save.

A defensive lapse proved costly in the contest. In the top of the 11th, with the game tied, Charlie Grant was at the plate when Louisville scored 1 on an error. The miscue enabled the Colonels to go in front, 5-4.

"Adam was bobbing and weaving the whole game," said Louisville manager Ned Connor.

After today's action, Louisville sits at 39-36; Cleveland slips to 30-45.
