Paul Ridgway was instrumental in his team's 9-5 triumph over the Nueva Gerona Marmoleros. The shortstop went 1-1 with a double and a walk. He drove in 4 runs and scored once for the Santa Clara Leopardos. Santa Clara pitcher Velimir Marinković got the win, upping his record to 1-1. Alberto Garfias got the loss. Nueva Gerona is 1-3 after the defeat.
Making an impact for the home team was Carlos Escobar. In the bottom of the third, the 25-year old left fielder had a run-scoring walk. That made the score 2-0, Leopardos.
