Soneros Losers, 2-1, Versus Las Tunas
|
In a low-scoring contest between the Las Tunas Escultores and the Santiago de Cuba Soneros, Raúl Ozuna, who finished 4th in the TORI in strikeouts with 140 in 1913, proved to be the difference. The Las Tunas left-hander earned props for his performance in the 2-1 Escultores win. The Soneros fall to 10-15 and continue their unimpressive start to the 1915 season.
In the top of the second, Ozuna had a 2-run double for Las Tunas. It was his 2nd double of the season and put the Escultores on top, 2-0.
"When I go out there," said Ozuna, "the last thing I want to do is let my teammates down."
