|
Bayamo starter Ernesto Sánchez pitched well against the Ciego de Avila Monjes Grises at El Monasterio. The left-hander led his team to a win, 3-1. The Rafagas now have a record of 26-24.
The Rafagas got a gift in the top of the seventh inning, when they were leading 1-0. With one out and runners on 2nd and 3rd, Ernesto Sánchez reached on an error by the center fielder, driving in 2 run3. It made the score 3-0, Bayamo.
"We put it together and came out with the win," Sánchez said in postgame remarks. "That's the main thing."
