Escultores Use Late Rally to Win
The Las Tunas Escultores faced a tough opponent in Manzanillo pitcher Juan Rodríguez, but still scratched out a win at Campo de los Martenos by a final score of 3-2 in 10 innings. Rodríguez went 9 innings and allowed 2 runs. The second-place Escultores lifted their record to 27-22.

A defensive lapse proved costly in the contest. In the top of the tenth, with the game tied, Marco Antonio Manzanares was at the plate when Las Tunas scored 1 on an error. The miscue enabled the Escultores to go in front, 3-2.

"That was your kind of game, if you like high drama," said Escultores manager Alberto Nevárez.
