Fraire Leads Pericos to 3-1 Win over Tinajones
The Holguin Pericos got a magnificent performance from pitcher Normando Fraire, who muffled the Camaguey offense en route to a tight, 3-1 Pericos win at Recinto Deportivo de Holguin. Demetrio Briones nailed down his 8th save. Holguin, having won 10 in a row, is now 29-22.

Fraire's performance can only be described as masterful. He notched 5 strikeouts in 8.2 innings while allowing 4 hits. Fraire, who led the TORI in wins with 24 in 1907, goes to 2-0 on the year with 21 strikeouts.

"It's fun to come to the yard every day when you're winning," said Holguin manager Alcides Hernández.
