Bayamo Slaps 5-2 Loss on Manzanillo
|
The Bayamo Rafagas picked up a win at Campo de los Martenos, downing the Manzanillo Martenos, 5-2. On the mound for Bayamo was left-hander Acacio Barron, who played a pivotal role in the win. Today's win puts Bayamo at 35-27, while Manzanillo falls to 39-26.
Bayamo relied on the hitting of Amentario Guzmán to pick up the win. The second baseman ripped a run-scoring triple in the top of the third inning to put the Rafagas on top, 2-0. For the game, Guzmán had 1 triple and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"Acacio was doing a good job pouring in strikes," said Bayamo manager Robert Faure.
