Comediantes Deal Santa Clara 4-2 Defeat
|
San Antonio de los Banos Comediantes starter Constantino Vázquez was locked-in. He led his team to a win over the Santa Clara Leopardos, 4-2. In 7.1 innings, Vázquez surrendered 8 hits, while striking out 4 and walking 0. He allowed 2 runs. The Comediantes win now puts them at 42-41.
San Antonio de los Banos third baseman Aquiles Martínez contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the fifth. With two down, he hit a curveball to center field for a run-scoring single. It was his 15th hit of the season and put the Comediantes ahead, 2-0.
"I thought we played a nice game," Vázquez told the San Antonio de los Banos Observer. "Good pitching, timely hitting, it was all there."
