The Camaguey Tinajones scooped up a win at Parque de Camaguey, dumping the Trinidad Tabacaleros, 6-2. Hernán Cruz, who finished 5th in the TORI in ERA with 1.97 last year, was essential to his team's success. With the win, Camaguey goes to 31-48, while the Tabacaleros fall to 52-32.
Manuel Rosales, who is a six-time All-Star, chipped in a 2-run single for Camaguey in the bottom of the first. For the game, the catcher had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 3 RBI.
"I was just trying to execute one pitch at a time," said Cruz.
