Wet weather did not postpone the Mayabeque-Pinar del Rio ballgame.

The Mayabeque Alacranes, behind a great outing from Roy Robertson, who is tied for 9th in the TOCC in quality starts with 16, defeated the Pinar del Rio Guajiros, 3-1, at Parque de los Alacranes. Mayabeque is now 45-41, Pinar del Rio 47-38.

With scoring opportunities rare, the Alacranes had to cash in when they had the chance. One such opportunity presented itself in the bottom of the fourth, when shortstop Auliffe Moore hit a 2-run single. The single came off Daniel Cruz and made the score 3-1, Alacranes. Moore was 1 for 2, while adding 2 RBI.

In postgame remarks, Moore applauded his team's "business-like approach."
