The Las Tunas Escultores faced a tough opponent in Guantanamo pitcher Manuel Domínguez, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Estadio de los Escultores by a final score of 4-1. Domínguez went 6.2 innings and allowed 3 runs. The Escultores now have a mark of 78-50.
Lino Rosario drove in one run for Las Tunas. The 1911 Ilustrísimo (LBPC) winner had a key at-bat in the bottom of the seventh. With one out and a runner on 3rd, he broke a 1-1 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Manuel Domínguez. It was his 77th RBI of the season.
Said losing manager Normando de León: "The at-bats, obviously, needed to be better."
