Mayabeque pitcher Diego Arocho did his part in helping his team defeat the Nueva Gerona Marmoleros, 3-2. The opposition could never get too much going against the left-hander. The Alacranes raised their record to 49-48.

Felipe Banderas, who led the TOCC in triples with 23 in 1906, helped out the Mayabeque cause in the bottom of the third inning with a run-scoring single. For the game, the right fielder was 2 for 3 with 2 singles and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.

"Not enough offensively in a winnable game," said losing manager Julián Maciel.
