A nice crowd turned out for a clash between the Bayamo Rafagas and Camaguey Tinajones.
Bayamo pitcher Gualterio León had a large part in his team beating the Camaguey Tinajones, 7-3. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. León yielded 3 runs over 9 innings to notch the win. He scattered 10 hits, walked 0, and struck out 1. His record improves to 1-0.
Humberto Dimas helped his team take an early lead with a run-scoring single. It came in the first inning, making the score 1-0, Rafagas.
"Today was a lot of fun," said Dimas.
The first-place Rafagas, at 56-40, now lead their division by 6½ games.
