Dedicated fans weathered the storm to watch their beloved Leopardos beat the Comediantes.

Abilio Nava was locked and loaded, helping the Santa Clara Leopardos beat the San Antonio de los Banos Comediantes, 4-1. Jack Katoll earned his 5th save in 8 chances.

Santa Clara catcher Aniceto Zacarías contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the sixth. With two down, he hit a slider to right-center field for a 2-run single. It was his 70th hit of the season and put the Leopardos ahead, 4-1.

In comments to the Santa Clara Today, Nava admitted that he doesn't always push himself. "But the results," he said, "speak for themselves."

Santa Clara improves to 54-47 with the win. They lead their division by 2 games.
