The Nayarit Mariachis and Guanajuato Libertadores played a tight game with the hosts claiming a hard-fought win.

Miguel Castañeda, who finished 5th in the LN in wins with 17 in 1911, was terrific for the Nayarit Mariachis in his team's 3-1 triumph over the Guanajuato Libertadores. His performance earned Castañeda rave reviews. Nayarit reliever Miguel Castañeda got the win, raising his record to 1-1. Ángel Aguilar was tagged with the loss.

Third Baseman Silvestre Santeliz made an impact for Nayarit, when he swatted a run-scoring double off Ángel Aguilar in the bottom of the second. For the contest, Santeliz was 1-3 with a double.

"Miguel throwing strikes, pounding the zone, that is exactly what you want to see," said Nayarit manager Isabelino Vidales.

The win takes Nayarit to 1-3.
