The Veracruz Vigias defeated the Hidalgo Cornicos, 3-2, in Sur action at Parque de los Vigías. Veracruz pitcher Sebastián Ramírez had a standout performance. Neftalí Montes earned the save for Veracruz, his 2nd. The defeat makes Hidalgo 4-6.

With the game tied, 2-2, in the bottom of the sixth, Ramírez had a key at-bat for Veracruz. With runners on 1st and 3rd, Ramírez hit a run-scoring single off Ángel Torres, making the score 3-2, Vigias.

"When you have a good rhythm and good flow, it's nice to just go out there and pound the strike zone with confidence," said Ramírez.
