Late Offense Lifts Nayarit to 4-1 Victory
Emanuel Ruiz, who is tied for 6th in the LN in wins with 3, had a strong outing for the Nayarit Mariachis against the Tijuana Matadores at Parque de los Mariachis. The left-hander was a big part of his team's 4-1 win. Yohann Bessé closed the game out for Nayarit, earning his 3rd save. The win takes Nayarit to 16-8.

The game was at a stalemate until second baseman Alex Attwood came to bat in the bottom of the eighth. Facing Tijuana pitcher Julián Saldaña, he hit a 1-0 slider for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Nayarit on top, 2-1.

"I'm just happy to help the team win," Ruiz told the Nayarit Citizen.
