Trovadores Beat Aztecas, 4-1

The game between Merida and Acapulco is in the books, despite a little rain.
The Merida Trovadores picked up a win at Parque de Acapulco, knocking off the Acapulco Aztecas, 4-1. On the mound for Merida was right-hander Anselmo Guaderrama. He played a key role in the triumph. Danny Bowell earned the save for Merida, his 1st.
Merida used a well-timed hit by Rodulfo Frías to capture the win. The catcher socked a 2-run double in the top of the first inning to put the Trovadores ahead, 4-0. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.
"Enjoyed this one," Guaderrama told the Merida Gazette. "But it's back to work tomorrow."
With the win, Merida goes to 12-19, while the Aztecas fall to 13-17.
