Baseball fans saw a good contest between the Durango Alacranes and Culiacan Galanes.
The Culiacan Galanes went down to defeat to John Burry and his Durango teammates. The final score was 2-1, in favor of the Alacranes. Nicolás Hernández, who led the LN in saves with 26 in 1913, nailed down the save.
With the game tied in the bottom of the fifth inning, Burry had a clutch at-bat. That's when he drew a walk, driving in 1 run to give the Alacranes a 1-0 lead.
"Tough loss," said Culiacan manager Ben Beadell. "This one will sting for a while."
Their 19-15 record puts the Alacranes 5th in the Norte.
