The home crowd was treated to a thrilling, walk-off win.
Merida Trovadores starter Senén Dávila hurled his team past the Oaxaca Zapotecos, 3-2. The last-place Trovadores are now 12-23, the Zapotecos 19-16.
The defining moment came in the bottom of the ninth for Merida. That's when Dirk Turley hit a run-scoring double off two-time All-Star Tafari Mungai to win the game. The home crowd went wild.
"I always go out there hoping to contribute," said Turley.
