Late Offense Lifts Acapulco to 4-3 Victory
The Acapulco Aztecas took Salustiano Contreras's best shot and still were able to collect a win at Parque de Acapulco. The final score had Acapulco getting past the Corsarios, 4-3, in 21 innings. Contreras over 10 innings allowed 3 runs on 7 hits, while striking out 2. Nerón Rodríguez picked up the win in relief. His record improves to 6-6. Ramón Carino suffered the loss. The 10th-place Corsarios now sit at 26-33.

The Aztecas relied on first baseman Glyn Rees for the game-winning hit. And, in the bottom of the 21st, he delivered, hitting a run-scoring single to seal the deal.

"I just tried to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Rees.
