Another day, another victory for the red-hot Durango Alacranes.

The Durango Alacranes stopped the Sonora Chacales, 10-4, at Estadio de Sonora. The Alacranes got a big game from Manuel Balderas, who was 2 for 3 with 2 singles and 2 walks. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Zacarías Guijarro got the win, improving to 1-0. He worked 7 innings, giving up 3 runs on 8 hits, while striking out 3 and walking 2.

Durango used the clutch hitting of Ramón Mercado to capture the win. The right fielder drilled a run-scoring double in the top of the sixth inning to give the Alacranes the lead, 4-3. For the game, Mercado had 2 singles and 1 double in 4 at-bats.
