Nayarit right-hander Miguel Castañeda pitched his team to victory over the Sonora Chacales at Estadio de Sonora. The final score was 5-4. Yohann Bessé earned the save for Nayarit, his 6th. The Mariachis are now 34-47.

Nayarit used the timely hitting of Iasepa Jarrah to seize the win. The first baseman stroked a 2-run single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Mariachis on top, 5-2. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"We came out on top and that's all I can ask for," said Castañeda.
