Though he had a terrific game, Nasir Kadeer could not prevent his team, the Jalisco Jinetes, from absorbing a loss. Nuevo Laredo won the game, 6-4. Kadeer was 1 for 2 with 3 walks, while scoring 2 runs. Francisco Martínez, the winner, improved to 2-3. He held the Jinetes to 4 runs on 6 hits over 5.1 innings, while striking out 5 and walking 5. Earning his 4th save of the year was Columbano Ávalos.
Francisco Martínez was a prime factor in the win for the Colibris. In the bottom of the third with two out, the two-time All-Star hit a 2-run single. He threw 5.1 innings allowing 4 runs.
"Winning the game is always the first objective," Martínez said.
The winning streak has now reached 4 games for the Colibris.
