The home crowd had a good time watching the Chiapas Quetzales and Toluca Chorizos get after it.
The Chiapas Quetzales got a superb performance from pitcher Hormisdas Rosario, but the Toluca Chorizos still won the game, 4-3. Rosario threw 7.0 innings of 4-hit ball. Raimundo Magaña picked up the win, improving his season record to 8-6. He struck out 2 in 5.1 innings. Abdón Martínez, who led the LS in saves with 24 in 1912, nailed down the save.
Marcos Serna broke a 2-2 tie in the bottom of the fourth with a run-scoring ground out. It put the Chorizos in front, 3-2. For the game, Serna was 1 for 4 with a triple.
"I'm just looking to see the ball, hit the ball," said Serna.
Toluca is 39-39 and Chiapas, with the loss, 32-48.
