The Michoacan Calaveras stormed past the Merida Trovadores, 13-3, at Campo Municipal de Morelia. Michoacan shortstopTito Mejía , who finished 2nd in the LS in hits with 170 in 1905, led the hit parade. He was 4 for 4 with a triple, a double, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 3 runs and drove in 2. The Calaveras are now 36-49, while the Trovadores fall to 37-49.

In the first inning, Mejía had a run-scoring triple for Michoacan. It was his 3rd triple of the season and put the Calaveras on top, 1-0.

"The boys came out and just played their butts off," said Michoacan manager Pablo Sánchez.
