Mariachis Suffer 3-2 Setback
|
Augurio Marín, who finished 5th in the LN in wins with 17 in 1911, propelled his team to victory over the Nayarit Mariachis. The final score was 3-2, Mexicali. The 10th-place Mariachis now sit at 37-51.
Luis Garay made an early impact for Mexicali when he stroked his 16th triple of the season. The run-scoring triple, which came with two out in the bottom of the third, put the Algodoneros on top, 2-0.
"Augurio is a tough competitor," said Mexicali manager Daniel Blair.
