Vigias Take Down Trovadores, 4-2

The Veracruz Vigias and Merida Trovadores played an exciting game.
Brodie Johnson, who is tied for 8th in the LS in quality starts with 17, had a strong outing for the Veracruz Vigias against the Merida Trovadores at Parque de los Trovadores. The right-hander was a big part of his team's 4-2 win. Johnson got the win, improving to 9-11. He gave up 6 hits and walked 3 over 8.2 innings. He allowed 2 runs.
Almandeto Ocasio dealt the Trovadores a blow in the top of the seventh. Batting with runners on 1st and 2nd and Veracruz leading 2-1, Ocasio hit a 1-2 fastball for a run-scoring single.
"I'm just looking to see the ball, hit the ball," said Ocasio.
The Vigias move to 44-43 with the win, while the Trovadores drop to 38-50.
