Jesús Arche of the Coahuila Carboneros shut out the Sonora Chacales, 6-0, at Estadio de Saltillo, holding them to 1 hit with 2 walks and 7 strikeouts.

Pressed for comments on his club's defeat, Sonora skipper Arnaldo Gallegos called the outing from Arche "a jewel."

"The way Arche was pitching, it would have been tough for anyone to beat him," he said.
