Ciudad Mexico Beats Hidalgo, 5-3

The rain came, as predicted, but the Ciudad Mexico Volcanes and Hidalgo Cornicos were able to complete their ballgame.
Ciudad Mexico registered a win at Estadio Federal by beating the Hidalgo Cornicos, 5-3. Pitcher Isaac Chávez was one reason why the Volcanes triumphed. Chávez picked up the win for Ciudad Mexico, going 8 innings. He gave up 3 runs on 9 hits. He now sports a record of 4-2.
With two out in the bottom of the seventh, Julio Barajas had a game-changing hit. The Volcanes catcher slammed a run-scoring single off Julio Irizarry, making the score 4-2, Ciudad Mexico.
"When you win, you always have confidence," said Ciudad Mexico skipper Leonardo Leal. "Nobody likes to lose. Losing is a downer. That's how we look at it. It's always good to win."
At 51-39, the Volcanes are currently third in the Sur.
