Soggy conditions did not keep Campeche and Chiapas from playing their scheduled game.

Thanks in large part to right fielder Ricardo Gamboa, the Campeche Corsarios beat the Chiapas Quetzales, 7-4. Gamboa went 4 for 5 with 4 singles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. Aquiles Sánchez picked up the win with 8 innings of work. He allowed 3 runs on 7 hits, while walking 3 and striking out 2. On the season, he is now 8-7.

Campeche got a big at-bat from Svit, Slovakia native Gabek Bina, who in the top of the first hit a 2-run triple. It was his 2nd triple of the season and put the Corsarios ahead, 4-0.

"Very pleased with the effort on our side," said Gamboa.

With the win, the Corsarios have a record of 54-37.
