|
Campo de Oaxaca was the site of a remarkable pitchers' duel.
Tafari Mungai was locked in. The left-hander led the Oaxaca Zapotecos to a 2-1 win against the Michoacan Calaveras at Campo de Oaxaca. The 7th-place Zapotecos have won 4 straight.
In the bottom of the fifth inning, Oaxaca got a key at-bat from Mungai. With one out, runners on 2nd and 3rd and the Zapotecos trailing 1-0, Mungai hit a sacrifice fly.
"Tough loss," said Michoacan manager Pablo Sánchez. "This one will sting for a while."
