Chetumal beat Puebla in a rain-soaked ballgame.

The Chetumal Mayas and starting pitcher Florentino González stifled the Puebla offense en route to a comfortable 8-2 win at Estadio Municipal de Puebla. The last-place Mayas bumped their record to 54-76.

González had a consequential at-bat in the bottom of the fourth for the Mayas. Coming up with the bases loaded and Chetumal trailing 2-1, he hit a 2-run single.

"Florentino was pounding the zone," said Chetumal manager Andrés García.
