Quirino Contreras helped his team muscle past the Campeche Corsarios, 9-3. In the game, the Michoacan right fielder went 4-5 with a double and 3 singles, while scoring 2 and driving in 4. Michoacan is now 83-46, while Campeche is 75-53.

Livio Pedraza went 1 for 4, while adding 2 RBI for Michoacan. The 38-year old catcher had a key at-bat in the bottom of the fourth. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 1-1 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Elía Hernández. It was his 11th RBI of the season.

"These guys just keep getting after it," Michoacan manager Pablo Sánchez said.
